Okay, upgrade is complete! Much to Rockey's chagrin, there are no issues with the cards running in SLI mode!
No improvement seen on T2 which I expected due to age of the game. Still max out around 100 FPS. T:V saw a huge jump from around 170 to 190 to over 300. Doom 3 went from about 200 to 300. Overall, major success!
There's also a cool function to watch the load balancing between the cards when playing. I'm amazed at how the cards balance the load in some situations. When repairing the base in Arid, it really tasks both cards (about 80% of each), but when skiing around, it only uses about 10% of each card! Don't understand it, but hey, gameplay is improved.
One problem remains, however....I want to hook my old monitor up to the second card, but all I get is a black screen. Of course, the Nvidia website sucks on this problem, so I'm looking for some of you other multi-screeners for some help.
Also, I downloaded all the maps above for T:V, but I still get the "You need to download content" screen on all the BEML maps. Any help there?
And, yes, everyone....I will update my name to include the <=RD=> tags. I had originally planned to jump in and play one map just to get the FPS numbers, but when I had high score on the map (don't ask how) and capped four times on Fort, I played a little longer than I thought I would. I even had four mid-airs which must have been errant disks that hit someone about a mile away, because I didn't see them! Is it a mid-air, if you hit yourself?
My apologies, me Lady!
That was you playing on Sat night between 5-7 AM (eastern) right?
That was a pretty fun game. I had no idea what was going on between the lack of sleep and surplus of busweisers.
I kept getting tk'ed, but at the time it was hilarious.
hope to see you in-game some more
