Okay, upgrade is complete! Much to Rockey's chagrin, there are no issues with the cards running in SLI mode!

No improvement seen on T2 which I expected due to age of the game. Still max out around 100 FPS. T:V saw a huge jump from around 170 to 190 to over 300. Doom 3 went from about 200 to 300. Overall, major success!

There's also a cool function to watch the load balancing between the cards when playing. I'm amazed at how the cards balance the load in some situations. When repairing the base in Arid, it really tasks both cards (about 80% of each), but when skiing around, it only uses about 10% of each card! Don't understand it, but hey, gameplay is improved.

One problem remains, however....I want to hook my old monitor up to the second card, but all I get is a black screen. Of course, the Nvidia website sucks on this problem, so I'm looking for some of you other multi-screeners for some help.

Also, I downloaded all the maps above for T:V, but I still get the "You need to download content" screen on all the BEML maps. Any help there?

And, yes, everyone....I will update my name to include the <=RD=> tags. I had originally planned to jump in and play one map just to get the FPS numbers, but when I had high score on the map (don't ask how) and capped four times on Fort, I played a little longer than I thought I would. I even had four mid-airs which must have been errant disks that hit someone about a mile away, because I didn't see them! Is it a mid-air, if you hit yourself?

My apologies, me Lady!

No apology needed. I was just thrilled to see you in there. You come by anytime you want.

I am amazed how much more fun T:V is with my new computer set-up. Previously, it took me five minutes to download a map, I had a lot of issues with ghosting, lag and the such and I couldn't stand all the spamming. The new computer downloads maps in seconds flat, the SLI set-up lets me max everything out on video without an issue (the 3D audio is still freaky) and the current RD crew of T:V players are a blast to play with! Except the snipers who drive me buggy in both T2 and T:V. I hate crossing a big map, just to be sniped down before grabbing the flag or hitting the base! Someday I'll learn how to use those darn things.

Note to Moldy: Please come back...your about the only guy I can hit with any accuracy!

That was you playing on Sat night between 5-7 AM (eastern) right?

That was a pretty fun game. I had no idea what was going on between the lack of sleep and surplus of busweisers.
I kept getting tk'ed, but at the time it was hilarious.

hope to see you in-game some more

Asus mobos aren't bad. I'm trying to get the Premium SLI board, with PCI interface instead of AGP (as is my current A8V-Deluxe Asus mobo). Athlon 64 3000+ CPU for several months now. SLI is, in my opinion, better than Crossfire. Crossfire has several great looking features, but it still lacks in certain spots that SLI is strong in. Not to mention the availability of video cards and price with CF vs SLI.

My current specs are:
A64 3000+
A8V Deluxe
1 GB (2x512MB) of Corsair Value RAM
120 GB Seagate Hard Drive with NCQ, Sata
DVD-/+RW drive, and CD-RW drive
Floppy Drive
500 (or is it 510) watt PSU, Aspire, SLI compliant
MSI nVidia 6600GT, 128-MB Hard drive
Antec P180 Case, with tri-cool fan system (3x120mm fans)
hp Pavilioin f1703 LCD (17 inch LCD Screen)
Logitech X-530 Speaker System (5.1 Surround Sound)
Logitech MX700 Wireless Keyboard/Mouse System

Just found out that you can only run two monitors spanned per card! So, although you have availability of attaching four monitors (two to each card), you can only have two sets of two that are spanned. Bummer!
