Real nice 'beta' FPS you can download from Fileplanet... Sorta a semi-close quarters combat infantry shooter; its fun... The Beta ends 10-5-08... I put in a few hours, especially on CTF version and did swell!!

Its got some nice identifiers for Teammates and such plus where nades are coming in or that you throw... The skills in Tribes helped me to aim well... The maps are small to medium at most so you are shootn' & lootn' real quick...

Peeps with slower broadband you can see are lagging some but I had no issues with my Comcast; course this could be netcode thing that is at beta level too!!??

One issue I did have the first time I tried the shortcut and logged in; it didn't go anywhere... So rebooted and tried again, logged in and no probs since...

How big are the teams?

Teams are anywhere from 6 to 10 peeps on each side.. The maps are a good size to fit that range...

I actually played 2 more hours last nite(CTF version)... The one thing I kept getting burned on was the 5 second invincibility you get when you spawn cause I would be at the enemy's base and they would kill me... Its easy to tell when they are invincible cause they glow a solid red or blue... I would hope when it goes gold, they drop to a 3 second invincibility which is plenty of time IMO...

I may play this game when it comes out...

Yeah, I was in both Closed Beta 1 and 2, waiting for the open beta though. If anyone needs pointers or help you can always contact me on the forums. The open beta release is set for December.

Yep, me too in CBT1&2 ==> looks like the open beta won't be out til January or possible February from I can pick up from posts and info, guess they could surprise us on the last day of December!??..

Try 'Combat Arms'(google) if you haven't already, its close to Blackshot but almost a little too much frenzy for me but I am in there as Psycho Jenny as I am in Blackshot..
