I want HUD's in real life. I imagine a microchip implant on the optic nerve, that would feed vital information into my field of vision. I want the time and temp maybe in the upper right, and face recognition software that would flash people's names up when they approach to talk. Maybe for fun I could have red enemy indicatiors too. And if I was bored, maybe I could scroll headlines across the bottom of field of vision. I think the HUDs would have to have voice activation software, cause a hardware interface could be awkward, like a numberpad up on the side of your head. The option to film demos would be sweet, cause everyday something happens that I wish I could show other people instead of explain it cause it's just not as funny. And night vision.

I've thought very hard about this.

Has anyone read Net Force? It's a Tom Clancy book about the future- focuses on kids belonging to a group called the Net Force (think ROTC, but it's the Web that is their trade). Hook into the net through neural pathways using cool chairs. You can see baseball games hundreds of miles away at baseball parks through holograms and this new Net. That's what I want.

Whatever happened to "You know you've played Tribes too much when..." All those scenarios and such. :D Really would like to see them again. I think one went like "when you try to tk your boss at work."
