omg if it werent for starsiege there wouldn't be a tribes!!! Starsiege was released Before tribes 1 starsiege is set in the same universe as tribes but the timeline is set before Tribes read up about it at starsiege2845.com

Yes, tribes is set in the "starsiege" universe. Tribes 1 was called "Starsiege Tribes," and the original game was just called "Starsiege" - I think that was a mech game.

SS2845 started out as a mod for T:V but now it is basically a stand alone game on the Tribes 2 engine that will be mech based. It is being done with all donated talent and will be distributed free.

But the nicer thing is yes the ATR (alpha test release is on the tribes 2 engine the torque gaming engine) the actual release will be on the Torque Shading Engine which is supposed to Rival the Unreal Engine in graphics Seeing alot of people creating this game love the old game Starsiege every aspect of the original game will probably be implemented plus more. I cant wait to get my hands on the ATR.

Well sounds kool cept for the UT Engine which Im not a big fan of.. I hope they clean it up and make aiming a more truer technique.. Wasnt a big fan of UT.. ;)

No, IP it's on the Tribes 2 Torque engine, only an upgraded version. :D
