BIG FYI. Guild Wars is going to be released by the end of this month, and it will be free as in: NO MONTLY FEES. I've been told this game is going to be a hit bc you can do stuff in guilds and groups, as well as single player. And the biggest 2ndary benefit will be no fees, very different from other MMORPG.

I've tried once to get the CD's and was summarily DENIED. I will most likely try again in the near future. I can propose a WOW RD clan in the Server Forum or in the Founders Hall, but would like to know if we could muster together 11 peeps. I hear 4 or 5 already.

if not in WoW lets make it in guild wars the name gives it away as it as Guild Oriented they have Guild Games in the Hall of Spirits? where your guild has a Relic and so does the other its like CTF lol but its capture the relic the game is really awesome ... haha and its made by Arena.net which i might mention was formerly blizzard north not Blizzard but Blizzard North makers of Starcraft, Diablo and such. There are other things to do in the guild games though i just remember them all im installing it as we speak thanks to the wonderful idea of preordering the people who did get it before it goes "gold"

A big question is how will Guild Wars sustain itself if it does not collect monthly fees. And will the final release form be great or horrible.

every few months they will be releasing expansion packs or so ive heard :/

Personally, I'd rather wait and see that Guild Wars ages a few months and the first expansion pack is released so we know that it won't quit and it can still mature.

hmm i just played it and its awesome. Not as good as WoW but GW is free and it has a different way of doing things. But not to say GW programmers were bad heck GW was created by blizzard people that quit example: Jeff Strain, Founder and Programmer, was the team lead and lead programmer of Blizzard's massively multiplayer role-playing game, World of Warcraft. He was also a senior programmer on both Warcraft III and StarCraft, and a programmer on Diablo. Jeff was the creator of the StarCraft Campaign Editor and was employed at Blizzard for four years
