Those of you who know me know I am in the Canadian Navy.
We are headed out Tuesday for the gulf coast to provide humanitarian aid and help with clean up. Yep, I am going to be fishing bodies and lumber out of the sea while another hurricane comes our way... hehe.
I love you Yanks.

NYC isnt completely out of the question as of yet, it is just not really a priority right now.
Either way though, I am flying down for Halloween. Going to be a good party for sure.

Purdue is also helping out- the Residence Hall Assocation is collecting donations for the Katrina Support Fund, and as president of my hall, I'm going to be pounding on every one of my resident's doors and get a donation out of them (or blacklist them!)

Heads up to Kraska... sounds like we may end up in the NYC afterall this stuff is done down here in the gulf coast. God, I hope so, I really want to finally meet y'all in person. Couple drinks, a few ladies, a good night. Should be around the 1st or early 2nd week in October.

Dateline, Biloxi Mississippi

We have been helping out in the city (or whatever you might call it now, I call it a wasteland) of Biloxi which got hit with a 30 foot wall of water during the hurricane. Picture this, the city you live in, minus the first 2 stories of all the buildings washed away.
Katrina was strong enough to lift a casino barge, a huge 5 story casino that floats and lifted it up and moved in 2 blocks inland. Amazing. Once I get my pics I will put em up.
You know what smells really bad? Rotting delta mud, hehe.
We saved 3 lives the other day... kittens we found in a wall of a building, found the mother's body outside the building... the kittens were about a week and a half old.

My Step-Sister lives in Biloxi, luckily they were out of state when Katrina hit. Right now they are with friends in Alabama.
