This is for those that have played at least two of the three.
What I got in my room, impossible as it is, are the top three MMORPGs today. I got World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, and Everquest II. (Sorry for not including DaoC, AO, or SWG). I have already opened and played WoW and I enjoy it, but it's pay to play so I'm hesitant to restart the account. GW and EQII are unopened. I'm pretty sure that I will be playing GW (no online fees? Sounds good to me), EQII is the iffy one. Pay to play again, but.. C'mon! It's Evercrack. I'm afraid that I'll get addicted to that game again (good or bad, dunno), but also that I got the special collector's edition, with music soundtrack CD and bonus DVD as well. But it's only worth $40. So now to launch the question:

1) Is Guild Wars better than WoW? EQII? Or are they the other way around? (Ex. WoW > GW > EQII?)

2) Should I go ahead and give EQII a spin or return it and buy another PC Game or something else I could use?

EQ is annoying in so many aspects.. it's not worth the end-game stress.

WoW is a great game, no denying it. However, it's one of those games you really have to play with other friends with.. otherwise it gets really boring really fast.

Guildwars is free yes, but from what I understand (i've only played off and on since release) most of the good content is based around PvP. So unless you love PvP, I would stick with WoW for awhile.

ive played WoW GW and EQ2 from what i played of EQ2 it is fun very fun but it can be VERY addicting and the lvl system calls for you to be addicted GW is very very fun and is Created by a good bit of the WoW developers if you read the Arena.net team info you will see they are Decorated with the Blizzard tag at one time in their life GW is Rivaling WoW which is surprising because WoW has like 5 million world wide and i think Guild Wars has over 2 million thats High for any mmo they usually dont even have a million players.. I played Everquest 2 with Archer and i like it but as i said i dont have the money and cant afford to be addicted it will addict you whether you have an addictive personality or not because it calls for it you cannot get anywhere if your casual. Its not necessarily focused on pvp anymore the pvp in the game is built now they have been release RP content expanding the storyline and stuff the thing about Guild Wars is either way RP needs PVP and PVP needs RP because you have to RP to be good in PVP ie you need to use your RP char to unlock skills for your PVP chars.

Actually, GW has a pretty large RPG mode too... and I like it a lot I think its really fun and I'm totally addicted... but yea it has a big RPG mode not just PvP and theres PvP mixed in with RPG too...

WOW for some quests and leveling and the grind once again.

Whoops! Sorry to waste everyone's time, but I decided to just go ahead and keep EQII and play it, as well as GW. I'm working out a plan how to manage both, CoD, F.E.A.R., Warhammer (and its expansion pack), and do well in college, attend classes, do homework, and run a residence hall. Phew! This is gonna take some work to figure out how to manage them all, but I think I can do it. :D *crosses his fingers that he doesn't become addicted to do bad in college*

I have to disagree with everyone on GW having a large PvE/RPG side to it -- it does NOT. I have 3 fully ascended PvE characters and have pretty much played out all the PvE content there is, GW has an interesting storyline which is nice, and it plays out really well, but once you get to the end at the ring of fire, the story dead-ends. From there, you can go mess around in the new PvE areas in the southern shiverpeaks, but even that doesn't have much in the way of challenging quests. When they added that on, they also added on the Titan Quests that take you all over tyria, which you can pick up from droknar's forge, but even then...there's not much to them. After that...nothing.

Guild Wars really is all about the PvP, it is ever-evolving with new builds, counter builds, counter-counter builds, etc. The only problem with that is, lots of people playing PvP do it like it's their profession in real life, koreans most of all. That makes PvP unbearable sometimes.

You Rascist? I'm Korean.... :P (just kidding). Anyways, I kept EQII and GW, so I'll try out both and find out which I like. I might start writing stories about my experiences in both games as well, like how I did for Call of Duty and Tribes 2 (does anyone have copies of those?) That also reminds me, someone in our tribe, I forget whom, was writing a story about the Rebel Dawgs. I remember that I was a Heavy Offense in it, Mom, Dun, and Lady were captains as well as Gigawa, and we were fighting a horde menace on some godforsaken planet.

Only thing I remember that was being written about us was [Ender]'s project on the social norms and what not of an Online Gaming Community.

I played WoW for a while, the lvl52-60 grind was too unbearable for me to do it... I left for tanzania while all my guildmates were getting 60 and when I was back I was grinding solo and I just quit... WoW had great potential for fun pvp but the battlegrounds ruined 5man on 5man pvp for the most part... and I doubt I'd do much but gank people if I go back...
