What's hilarious about this is it's not a bug in notepad, it's a limitation within windows. The function that windows uses to determine if the file is saved in unicode or not is flawed.

If you notice, it'll actually display correctly if you save it after opening it the first time, and then reopen it.

it will also display correctly if you add a line return after the phrase. Seems more like an easteregg than a bug to me :shrug:

The most interesting part is the fact that if you compare the file size of the first time you save it and the second time, the second one is exactly twice the size of the first.
