first off, hi... long time.
secondly, wow and gw can't really be compared. if you like games like EQ, FFXI, EQII, UO, etc etc etc... then play wow. that is, if you LIKE level grinding for enough hours to count in calendar months (18 months of ffxi has totalled up to 132 DAYS and 13 hours of playing, and i'm still not max level). if you like getting price gouged by the ppl with max crafts when you are just buying materials to level your craft, if you like farming for days don't play guild wars.
i heard the old lead mmo balancer for blizzard is working at arenanet now (GW company).
ok, if you like a grind free play environment where no matter what you do to your character you can never ruin it, play GW. if you want a game that is about playing the GAME, not repeating the same assinine thing over and over again, then play guildwars. guildwars is by far the most balanced mmo i've ever played, or even heard talk about. there is no best profession to kill everyone in 3 seconds, there is no useless professions (duh there's only 6). so far everyone's arguments here including mine sound like personal opinion so i'm not going to say guild wars is the better game, but 4 months from now when you don't have a max level character on WoW after paying out money to play the game when you've already got it at home, i'll be laughing at you while i blast stryker to death with my ranger (who has already beaten the rp missions, i owned the lich). my name is xain chen btw, and i have a BADASS build, look me up if you want a ranger with the beats (and frozen soil/fertile season).
