Here's a torrent link, but it wasn't moving at all for me - slower than the regular download.

If your video card is not specifically supported, it won't run. To fix some of the cards check out this post:

http://www.forumplanet.com/planetbattle ... id=1669738

One of the downloads is a .rar. If you don't have Winrar, you can also open it with the free program WinAce.

Problem is that if you have a GeForce4 series card - even if it's a 256 meg card - Battlefield 2 will not run. People are searching for a workaround but right now I'm SOL. I can run Doom 3, but I can't run this? What a pile of shazbot.

So I guess I can either upgrade my comp or spend $80 to upgrade my card to one that supports shader 1.4. So I need to know if the game is worth it.

I'm finding it to play, well, exactly like the first Battlefield did.

So my question is - is it worth me spending $100 to get it? I found a Radeon 9600 card for $54 on Newegg, plus I figure I need to go to 1gig of RAM. So that's basically $100 bucks (maybe I can skip the RAM?). If a lot of RD are going to play, then I'm willing to spend to get it.

I can't afford a new comp, but I probably can in about 6 months, so I don't want to spend a lot of dough on a nice card, just want to get by.

It's not the video settings I'm talking about, my system runs the game just fine. Alls I'm saying is it's a shiny new version of a game that already exists!

not really olga that is part of the making of bf2 is the timeline for the game is totally different. The gameplay seems much better and the engine runs less choppy then the bf1942 engine. And yes mach its worth it even just buying the new card is worth it to play vengeance much better.
