So I go to this laser tag thing tonight (tomorrow was organized team night I guess, but I'll pass now) and it was a lot different then what I would ahve expected.
Teams of max 5 (it was 3v3 both times I did it) occupy an inflated dome like thing with some infated tubes and what not as obsticals and things to hide behind. its 500 points for a chest/back hit, 900 for the sholders, and 100 points each for hitting their base target (a small target above their resupply)
Each player gets 40 shots (can be used in about 15 seconds or less easily) and or 3 hits (there is almost no indication when you get hit) before they have to run back at best 20 feet to resupply. The team witht he most points at the end wins.
The reall sticking point became "rapid fire time" and the base shooting points. At random times a player on your team gets rapid fire, which is essentually unlimited bullets, with arguably unlimited lives for the time period (my roomate said she got killed while having it but I never experienced it). So now your rambo on crack, which wouldn;t be too too bad given that you really could only hit someone three times then have to stop becuase they are dead, but you can unload on the base because A) your unkillable (although others can get points off you), and B) the base target
is easily shootable from your base. All you ahve to do is unload on the unmoving target and rack in the points. Not a lot of people seemed to figure this out, but it made the game really easy.
I don;t know what other people ahve played, but I really liked when I played "lazer quest' back at home, where you have limitless lives and ammo, but when you got shot there was a 5 second cooldown where you couldn't get shot or shoot others. And no base target shooting that you can hit literally from your respawn. Atleast if you ahd to go into the midfeild to hit it then your exposing yourself.
P.S. I ruined lives
