I am planning on going Saturday to meet some of the people i have talked to for all these years now. Im takin my son, Sarxos07, but not sure as of yet if he needs to play in it or not!! still undecided.

Gigawa and I are all signed up and ready to fly to LA to be part of the west coast LAN. Just made the final reservations a few seconds ago. So looking forward to meeting some of our ATF buddies and Stilgar.

I took several pictures which il post as soon as I dl them but I was disallisioned! I was disapointed!.
The attendance was excellent but the planning and implementation needed improvment! alot!

The first round of the tournament was saposed to started at 430 for my team '13' and it started at 545 because the member in the other team were not present!!!!! There was no officall intervention or supervision I felt like I was scriming a newbie team.

There were shouts of profanity of all sorts throughout my partisapation.
There were also several fire alarms in the night which seemed to be attributaed to the TW. It was anounced there is an investigation in progress and there may not be another event in the future based on tis years events.
T3 vengence is a disapointment to me. I have a 1.7 p4 witha gforce 3 v card and it was laggy as hell!
Unplayably in my opinion on a machine like mine. granted this a beta but it has many flaws.
The patch wqas over 650 megs.!! imagine 330+ people dl'ding it it on 2 servers!!! I was a 5 hour download!!!!! WTF!!!
I went home and attempted it ni the morning. When I successfully dl'd it it still would not install. after just under 2 hours I got it to install after getting a downloaded disk from another partisapant (bless his soul).
I was present on Thursday and FRiday, but on Saturday I took the day off. Sorry Mom, I ould have liked to meet you but I would have thrown my monitor at someone by then.
Im typing on a laptop comp and the keyboard is TINY

I'm finding that playing TV over the internet is much better than at the lan event. I dont understand it but its playable now. <scratching head>

it took 5 hours to download 650 megs on a LAN? .... thats 36k/s .... me thinks your NIC is broken.... or you were pulling it off of the west coast server

adjust your graphic detail if you are getting poor framerates. Not everyone can run it at high rez mode...

The East and West were not connected at all except for the final match which was a bummer! I was looking forward to conversing with Lady and GIG as I knew no one there.

But no Many people were complaing at the time that was required to DL it. This was part of the problem. Finally they got smart and started burning the progs on disks.

Ive been playing TV online for a bit today and ita pretty neat. The variety of machine guns are interesting. And the defense turrets... SWEET!
