If you have an iPod and a mp3 capable phone and don't feel like carrying both when strolling on the beach, etc... check out this article.
Read the article for more info.

This is cool for the summer, who want's all that stuff in their pockets during trips to the beach, amuzement parks, etc... you get the idea. Only catch is the music will be shuffled like the iPod shuffle. Better hurry, I don't know how long this service will be free.

I thought about that, I haven't found any affordable pricing (for me) with a plan. So I re-upped my 2yr contract with verizon and got a Motorazr Maxx.

It was the closest thing to a smartphone I could find while not breaking my pocket.

I wanted an iPhone, even with most of my family and friends on verizon I really wanted an iPhone. Maybe in a couple yrs... hopefully by then, the wireless broadband will be better and they'll design the camera to be near the screen of the phone so you can actually have a "video phone"!

Yeah i dont think you are going to find any "affordable" pricing. I think the thing is going to be $500 out of the box with no plan... and i think they make you get a $50/month data plan on top of that.

I've been using a Motorola T720 http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/produc ... bjectId=16 for just under 4 years. Its still going strong but the iPhone is tempting. I don't think i can really afford it either, but i might end up getting it anyway

Let me know if you guys need some advice in phones. I have been workin at Verizon Wireless for the last 2 years doing tech support on PDA's, aircards, and blackberries. My job keeps me on the up on the good cell phones, etc.

My opinion on the Iphone is that its extremly overrated. Low end is around $600 with 4 gig of space, high end is $800 with 8 gigs of space, on top of it being on the worst network AT&T. If you want a PDA with cheap Data and dont care about voice go SPRINT, if you care about both...go Verizon, if your just broke ( like me)..go TMobile. I dont recommend AT&T to my worst enemy.

Again, just hit me up. I can give you links of information on cell phone comparisions, specs, reliabity, etc. I also know the specs on all major carrier networks and their track records. You would be surprised what the most solid phones and PDA's are. And its not the Palm Treo hehe

Dun: Good choice, Although there is alot of haters of motorolas, they have been pretty solid. Moto has the best for Bluetooth Technololgy reliablity right now. So Moto is a good choice in my opinion, I also have a motorola. I use the razor only becuase its very cheap now, and you can flash the bios for whatever needs you want. I have flashed it to hold 200 txt messages and killed tmobile right out of phone along with all the crap I dont use, and some cool morbid like fonts.

LG series phones have been hitting #1 for most reliable and best reception for Verizon. LG 8300 and up. I can ramble all day about it, Be looking for some sweet PDA's coming out after the iphone for verizon they got a new network out called rev -A, you can get data burst up to 1.5 megs out of your pda, they already have aircards doing it now. One is called the XV6800 and the Samsung I760. Ill shut up now.

I used to have an LG and with Verizon, I never dropped calls unless I drove through an area with no coverage. Seriously, it worked on elevators basements... this new moto seems to do the same, I think it's the network. But I will check in with you Squeeg next time I do the contract review.

Squeegmeister. Ironically, I was looking for you a few days ago about cell phone info. If you have the time and wanna impart your wisdom upon me, gimme the full GB download on everything I need to know to make a good choice.

Oh, btw. I'm on Cingular, and I want to switch to Verizon (my coworkers use Verizon, and if I'm not mistaken, Verizon to Verizon calls are free).

Ohh Yeah, "in calling" is one of the best deals, besides not dropping calls!

Thanks Dun! Loved my Magnum, but this sublime is really growing on me. FYI: I hate green. But he is a nice pic of my ride after car show a couple weeks ago. Getting ready to make it mine. Going with the whole "Got Lime" theme with graphics will keep yeah posted.
