Hey guys, I was wondering how to get the tribe tag blue like in the rd tag, and also if anyone knows how to get the ~ in a tag. Any help is appreciated =D

I believe the symbols < and > cause the tag to appear blue.

Dunna is right. The < and > are now "illegal" characters for clan tags. The <=RD=> tag was created before the restriction was made (in a patch or elsewhere), and it was grandfathered in so as not to force it to be changed. The blue color indicates that it contains an illegal character.

Tis possible to have illegal characters in your tag still, through a console command of course.

i think they actually blocked that with one of the patches cyn... people were causing all sorts of browser problems with it.

I know they filtered out characters in the chat, that could be bypassed with console commands. But I think they added a server side check to block those characters in clan tags. I could be wrong though.

I don't think so, and I do know what you're talking about with the browser, making the font in your history tiny with tags that were browser values. I believe it still works, though.

yeah, i also thought people were hacking the browser too... i seem to remember someone hijacking clans by using a blank name or something like that... the details are fuzzy
