Just in case you didn't know. In the very near future there will be a new "multiplayer demo" that will replace the beta. You have to download the whole thing, apparently no patch. Beta will not work once the demo is released.

EDIT: it's out now, not exclusive to File Planet.

But it downloads a lot faster from FilePlanet! You'll get an email from VU and you can download it from their website too, but it was gonna take 4 hours, FilePlanet is gonna take about 15 minutes. And since I had to buy FilePlanet to get the demo to start with....

It's downloading now.

It says it's gonna have all the weapons and game types from the final release, same 4 old maps...

So I was checking TW around 2 pm today for a link to the Demo and voila, my connection dropped. I fiddled around with the DSL modem and ipconfig, and finally got it back up but I was only getting like 10k!

So I call SBC and they tell me that the internet hates me and only me and they will send someone out tomorrow morning/evening (A 8am-5pm appointment! ), so now my 300+Kb download is chugging at 20k. I should finish downloading the demo in an hour. Cry for me. Please.

Thank you archer. The demo feels almost perfect. My only beef is the slowed energy recharge but I'm sure I'l get used to it.

the game feels a lot more fluid in the demo. Its a huge improvement to me
