I cashed in pretty well this year for my birthday, and have come to a hard decision and I need some opinions. That's where you all come in.

I need a new guitar pretty badly, but I also need a new TV just as bad. I can only afford one though, so it's between these two.

Guitar(plus a new amp and a few other things):

Edited for the huge link

What is with that TV? I had no idea you were so rich, otherwise I would have sucked up to you more. I swear!

 In case you are interested, I could use a laptop for xmas. OR gobs of cash to pay bills. Hook me up with that bling youi got! lol

;) :D

PS> I'd look into getting a more standard resolution for hte TV. Soemthign you can connect to from a PVR comptuer (aks TIVO computer with and HDTV tuner capture card). Or get a real HDTV model, not jsut hdtv ready. You're gonna want to keep this puppy for a long time, and need ot anticipate future uses.

Far from rich, but this year was a pretty good year compared to all my previous birthdays. I didn't beg my parents for a car for my sixteenth so I think they're showing appreciation ;)

Both are sweet, I guess it depends on your needs?

Wow.... very hard choice. I'm going for the TV though.

Why the disparity in the cost between the two? If you've got the dough for the TV, I would upgrade the guitar request to:

http://www.prsguitars.com/showcase/current/custom.html

If you've never played a PRS, you're missing out. I highly recommend that you play one before settling on the Ibanez.

The guitar above will cost about $2,400, but they'll have all sorts of financing options and sales at your local PRS dealer, so it'll probably turn out to be a wash between the TV and the PRS.

I would get the guitar. It allows you to utilize and develop your talents, to swoon would be companion, and to jam with your friends.

The TV's great, but you spend so much time in front of the computer, if you are like me, the TV just doesn't get utilized that much.

I'm not really a fan of PRS, I've used Ibanez since I started and it's really the only brand so far that I can easily shred on without my hand cramping massively.

The TV would sit right next to my monitor where my current TV is. The thing is, my tv is so old that I can't even plug in any sort of component without a special coax adapter. It also shuts off randomly as you flip through channels and it's pretty damn annoying.

I may be able to find the same guitar for a bit cheaper than its market price ($800-$900) and just buy a cheaper tube tv instead of the flat screen.
