So I was going through my programs list about an hour ago, looking for things to uninstall that I never use. I stumble across T2 in the list eventually, and I almost brought myself to remove it. However, I remembered that I had many recordings that I had saved over the years still, so I decided against it and continued cleaning out the hard drive. It stuck in the back of my head of course, which lead me to go watch a few of them.. some from the days before I even had broadband (2-3 years ago) and some from even the Tribescon event I attended where I had the honor of meeting Lady, Gig, Squeeg, Metalhead, Valtrex and a few other long time community members.

It occured to me that it's this fine group of people that has been missing from my life since I left for the final time. As pathetic, corny or whatever else it may sound like to those of you who don't feel the same, I grew up with RD including inactive and ex members and I can't help but miss the old days. Days when we would be able to scan the list of servers and instantly find something fun for every one to do, deathmatch, siege, hunters.. all of it. I realize now that the game is only a small part of what I miss, however.. as it was never the same game after I left RD and was still playing. I played under a different name in competition for a few months and found myself growing bored and uninterested.

So for all of you new people, and by new I mean people that joined after I left, enjoy what you have here. It does not get better than this, even if things seem slow around here. The quality of people found here does not get better any where else.

Cynagen, that brought me to tears. I'm sitting here at work having a bit of break and tears are rolling down my cheek. What a thoughtful thing to do, and how touching.

Sometimes it is hard to continue with keeping this team together. So much going on at home, game interest waning, etc. But when I see how this team touches all that come here, I can't let is die. I'd miss everyone too much and totally miss the cameo drop-ins from names that have meant so much to me.

Thank you all for the reminder.

Shocklancing squeeg and metalhead were the most enjoyable moments in tribes for me.

Hey Cynagen!

I know I wasnt part of RD when you were but we have played in many pubs together since my joining. Im sure you remember me, I am the one always being killed by you in our little duels  Anyway its great to hear from you! Hope you can find the time and interest to pop in T2 and play a few maps with us on occasion. I know T2 isnt what it once was by a long shot but there are still a few die hards left in RD. It would be great to see ya in there sometime.

As for your post...

I cant agree with you more. I have played t2 since it was released and really have grown to love the game so much. Probably the best game Ill ever have the privladge to play. However since joining RD I am always finding myself in the forums or teamspeak moreso than in game. Reason is, is because T2 wouldnt be the game it is if it werent for the people that I have the honor of playing it with. The people make the game what it is and thats all there is to it.

If it werent for RD and my former SoD pals (family) I dont think I would have stuck with T2 as long as I have.

This is the greatest group (team) that will ever exist in any game, I believe that with all my heart.

To be quite honest, I have to say that my CLOSEST friendships in life have been made through this game & SoD/RD. And I havent even met them in person. That says a lot about a group of people!

Anywho, Thanks Cyn for starting this thread. I found it to be uplifting in many ways simply because this is the greatest group of friends that a person can have and being able to share and cherish these moments together is AWSOME!

Thanks to all of you for making this such a great team where so many friendships have and can be made.

God Bless!

Icey

Cyn is a lot of fun. We convinced him to play with {RiP} for a little while in T2 and he was always fun to bust on and what not. Sadly, his short time in RiP may have hastened his departure for T2. lol. man we sucked really really bad. heh. Good times while it lasted though. :)

Hope you come back and spend some time in RD land Cyn.

Those were some great times. Our team was the tightest group of people, it just seems like we knew exactly what each other were going to do. I can remember so many times that I thought our flag was going to get capped only to have someone get that last minute chain gun shot or see Striker swoop in and run them over. Or to have offense grab the flag, capper gets killed, gets picked up, capper gets killed and finally to get the cap. Or to send everyone from D over to chase down their capper. :D

We still have a lot of fun, some great moments in BF2.
