It is with almost unbearable sadness that I let you know that Rebel Dawgs has lost one of their founders.

Phillip Raymond Carey (aka Gigawa) passed away at 3:50 a.m. pdt, August 20th 2006 at the age of 54. His last request was to take his little boat he bought a couple of months ago and assembled with meticulous care.....and go fishing. Tuesday his entire family took him to his favorite fishing hole where he spent 4 hours on the water. We couldn't get him back on land.

Here is one happy Gigawa:

Here is how I choose to remember him. Metalhead has been here helping me through this and this picture couldn't more appropriate:

I thank you for all your prayers, kind words and support. It has made all the difference. How blessed Gig and I have been to be part of such a strong, great community of people.

Thank You All.

He will not be forgotten. Thank you for sharing these special moments, even in a time of grief. We are by your side now more than ever. Our sympathies to you and to your family.

Why hunt moose anyway? We're just big, slow, dumb, and make for easy kills...oops.

I am absolutly lost for words right now. I have sat and re-read this thread 5-6 times and it hurts so much each time I read it.

Gig was a very special person and such a great friend to me and I know many many others. I can remember many nights full of fun and laughter with Gig and I wish to god that we could have some more of those fun nights.

Lady I cannot even begin to imagine how much you are hurting right now. I am so very sorry for you. I wish that there were more that I could do besides lend a few comforting words. I wish that I didnt live thousands of miles away. I know that you are probably in a lot of pain and may feel so small in such a big world right now but please know that you have so very many people here that love you. Please come to us when you need to talk or just get your mind off things. Stay strong and think posotive. We love you Lady!

Gig, may you rest in peace and know that you will be missed by all your friends, family, and loved ones. You will never be forgotten friend, WE LOVE YOU!

I also am at a loss for words, everytime I read this it hurts more and more.

I remember the times Gig, Me, Lady, and Icedog played poker or even played tribes and I truly wish those times would have continued, Gig was a very very great person, and friend.

Lady, we are here for you this loss is hard on all of us but even harder on you, if you need to talk we are here if you need company we are a few clicks away(teamspeak) We all love you Lady!

Gig, you will always be remembered and respected, and loved by all your friends, family, and loved ones.

Thanks Lady for sharing the pics and keeping us informed. I know this isn't an easy time for you Lady like Kong; said don't be afraid to lean on us, you all helped me through some very tough times. We are family here.

Rest in peace Gigawa, we love you and miss you greatly. I miss our talks on how to fix the world, sharing life stories and jokes. I'll never forget you!

I too am lost for words... Gah...if only the burden of sadness could be so easily taken away. But then if it weren't for the sadness, the good and happy memories wouldn't have as great an effect as they have on us now. And now recalling those fond memories of playing poker, playing T2, and just talking on TS brings sadness to the heart. Who knew that although we're all spread out across the country, that we could come together and bond together as a family. And yes, we are all here for you Lady to help share that burden of grief. If only our wishes had been granted and our prayers answered, everything would be different. Gig will always be missed, loved, and remembered and those memories of him will always be cherished.

Love to Gig and Lady.

My condolences to all.

I remember Gigawa from way back in the T2 days.

AGENT (or ex-ATF) as you may know us have always been friends with RD, and it is sad to see a good person such as Gigawa leave us.

*S* to Gigawa from all the AGENTS.

I am so sad about this all. I pray that God watches over him, and you as well Lady. We, the RD and Tribes 2 family, are here for you and yes, we do hope that you think of us as another family that you can lean on for help. I wish I could have had one more Sny-pie from him now.

My condolences go out to you and your family, Lady. This is not an easy time, and like has been said, lean on us if you need support. We are here for you.

I'll never forget Gigawa. He helped me feel welcome within RD when I first joined, and even before that during scrimages with the Executioners. And I'll never forget that spirit he had...always wanted to be where the action was.

Rest in peace, Gigawa. We love you and you will be dearly missed.

It really makes me tearful to hear that such a respected player, who done so much for the greatest game ever has been lost. It makes me warm to feel that his last wishes where granted.

Lady my thoughts and prayers are with you and any family of yours who are hurting (including the T2 community). A Tragic loss.

Gigs was without a doubt one of the most outstanding, well mannered, and light hearted people I've met. Really meant a lot to the gaming community and recently, myself also. last few months we shared a lot with our similar health problems and he passed on some good advice through Lady that has helped me a great deal. I'm feeling his passing quite strongly .. I can only imagine how lady is taking it. Hope she can take it easy and deal with it in the company of freinds and family. I know she will take great comfort in knowing how much we all cared for Gigs.

Safe travels Gigs!
