i thought horses were like cows... I thought they sleep standing up. Is it normal for them to lay down?

They can sleep both standing and laying down. They lay down a few times a day to rest their legs and sometimes sleep, and roll in the dirt cause really there's nothing better in life. They can also sleep standing up cause they have these tendons and bone spurs that make leg locks to keep them from falling clean over which would be funny. They only sleep a total of 3 hours in a 24 hour period, but they spend a heck of a lot of time dozing, and one will always stay awake to keep a look out for mountain lions, or horse eating leaves blowing in the breeze.

That's Oreo in the backgroud, he's the dumb one. Nugget is the one down for the count, he's very smart. Oreo's tied up to the Pony Express, that's their ride, I wouldn't let them call it the "chic magnent."
