Grap hook? Where???
In tribes vengeance.

My average cap speed is now around 210 (Incoming its about 200, outgoing its about 270 depending on the map).
Loadout Light, shield pack, disc launcher, grenade launcher, grappler.
My grappler's meaner :D.

And on junk I think if you disc jump out of the flag area you won't have to hit the ground at all on that run of yours ravien. I'll have to check.

I have to say that the cappers are definitely getting better. Ganksta - who I thought couldn't get any better - was really moving last practice.

I'll have to test that theory out about disc jumping off the flag area on Junk. :-D I'm still a n00b with the grappler compared to BFGanksta. =/

Use the shield pack when you Disc jump.

DJ w/ E pack=55 damage
DJ w/ S pack (passive)=50 damage
DJ w/ S pack (Active)=10 damage

Also try using the grappler winch as you start back upwards in the swing. This is the best way to use the grappler once you are already moving 120+.

For moldy and whoever else wants to learn how to use the grappler I'm gonna make a tutorial. My ski tutorial is too long so I'm gonna try to cut down on the size of the tutorial for the grappler.

I'm not soo good with shield pack capping though. Tried it before I knew how to grapple good and always ran out of energy. I'll have to get you to show me how to use it effectively sometime, but I seem to do pretty good with just an energy pack.

The difference between the shield pack and the e pack is that for the boost you have to Disc jump, and use the grappler to compensate for the slower recharge. Also you need to use the grappler to begin most of your routes so you can start faster. If you haven't noticed the faster you are going the less energy you need to use to get the height and distance you need.

Cool. I'll have to work on that and get good at it by next practice. Leaves me 5 days to master shield pack capping. It will be done...*hopefully* lol
