Hello RD members,

This is in relation to the game Tribes Vengeance on multiplayer

-Several days ago me and my freind (by the name of " frog" in the game) were practicing alone on the OSIS server. We made ourselves admins so that we could change maps and add time to make the training easier. It just so happened that I had a freind over at my house at the time, while I was out picking up some pizza with my family, he played for me. When I get back, he tells me that an OSIS member by the name of Zarious came into the server and he kicked him! So me and my freind went to a new server. Then zarious comes in and informs us that we have been banned from the COBRA server, the RD server and the OSIS server. He left before I could tell him this story.
All in all we did not do anything. Frog had nothing to do with it and my idiot freind was on my name when I was out. So I was wondering if you could possibly unban the both of us from your server and maybe the other two as well. Seeing as those 3 are very popular servers, it makes playing much harder for us. Thanks for listening.

What you forgot to mention was that while you had admin, you banned upwards of 15 ppl from our server. I had about 5-6 ppl come on our TS and tell me that some one was banning ppl from our server. When I tried to enter, I was banned before I could load up. I went into web admin, and banned the two of you, and tried to figure out who was who. I wound up having to clear the entire ban list to get every on off. I followed you guys into another server, and told you that you would be banned from every server I have admin on, and you were. I also intent to talk with SoundGuy and Lady Death about having you banned from their servers as well. We let ppl vote themselves admin, so that when their are few ppl on, you can change maps ect, and so that when we have PU's we can give admin out to the team captains. So ya when someone abuses that it tends to upset me a good bit. Your ban will not be removed from the osis server, tho you may appeal to the owners of the other servers if you wish for your ban to be removed. I doubt it tho, because I cleared the bans with every one I was supposed to before I did it.

Prehaps next time you will think twice before attempting to take over some one's server.

I'm not sure who banned you from the RD server, but I can tell you that in the past 8 years of running a server, the "my friend got on my computer and I got banned" story has only been use 100 times or so. I don't easily buy that one any more.

The Vengeance server owners are a tight bunch of folk and if you cheat, abuse priveledges, etc. on one server, the rest of us pay attention. This may teach you a lesson on burning bridges.

I would say that some important parts of the story were left out. Zarious' comments sure reinforce the reasons to keep this ban in place. As Lady says, best not to burn your bridges as much of the T2 and TV communities are tight - word of admin abuse, cheating, etc. travels fast!

Thats just wrong banning people on a clan server or on any server just so you can train Like lady i have heard that excuse so many times its just not an excuse anymore, its like telling the teacher "My dog ate my homework."

I say no unban yet..

But here is suggestion for you trumpet boy next time you want to practice with your friend just create a server and go into adanced options there should be a box that has something that talks about Using Gamespy to host it.....if you check that make an admin registration for yourself and a name like "Frog come here." It wil let you create your own server and you can even choose the maps, that would have been the right way to go, but you probably didnt know that....Helping out

No the ban stays forever, tards who abuse admin privs on any server deserve the ban to stay in place period. Perhaps you and your friend will not be idiotic in the future. Have a nice day now.

....Zarious? Ive been banned from osis for a loooong time and i dont think i did anything. I think it was salty because i was on the 24/7 Antics server and salty vote kicked me (as admin) and only gave this other guy a light kick where we both did the same amount of tking.

Truth is I am getting tired of reading the continues pleas regarding the bans. You specifically have like 3 different posts going. Kindly advise you to wrap it up quickly and quietly.

Listen, I have been playing for over 2 years, I got the game the day it came out. Don't you think that I am smart enough to know not to ban the administrator of the server? And what reason would we have of banning others? I know that the freind story is a commonly used story. I've seen it a million times myself. But I am telling the honest truth that is all there is to it. You must beleive me, and if you don't thats OK I guess, but if you do nothing else, unban frog for he has done absolutly nothing, for he is being penalized for no reason. Once again, I thank you for listening.

PS: Frog and I have tried ten million ways to host servers we've tried all the combinations of boxes to check and ports to try. Nothing works. We are very limited players.

Hah how do you play video games for so long? Anyway, even though I have not been playing for 8 years...2 years is still long enough for me to learn whats what...

well common sense should tell you what not to do. But time heals all and i'm sure you'll be allowed back in.

ok peeps i have heard and seen both sides of story now, and he IM'ed me and we talked about it... I know what happened was wrong but i think we should give them one more chance...and if not trumpet boy atleast frog...cause he was just a victim here. But from what i can tell he never changed his story it was constant...and it sounded truthful to me and now he knows that if it happens again he is going to stay banned forever...and thats all there is to it...I say unban now...You'll know how much i don't like goobers in the game but i honestly believe him...cause i heard full story.....and this is kinda funny and i don't know if it will happen because of this server thing...he told me he even wanted to join <=RD=>..lol

UNBAN is my thoughts.
