In July, Gig and I attended the annual Springfield Cruise. It is something we have participated in with the Corvette, and also attended with friends in previous years. It was a good outting and as usual, I take pictures of some of my favorite classic cars. We both love the old ones, where my love is cars 1940 and prior, his were the 70's muscle cars and station wagons.
Wasn't it a surprise when a beautiful mustang drove by with these plates. I was so excited that we'd found #1. We've been incredibly fond of #92 for many years, but I've often wondered about the many Machs between the two numbers.
ANOTHER CAR STORY
I told this story to some of you on TS the other night, so here is the proof. For those of you that didn't hear it, let me tell it again.
I've been struggling what to do about my car situation. I have 2 very nice cars, both with payments I can't really afford. Near my house is a grocery story where people park their cars for sale, because of the location's high visibility. Last week I drove by and there was a tank of a station wagon. From the street it looked gorgeous, and as I drove on home I had a quiet conversation with Gig letting him know I saw it and knew he'd be inclined to look at it more closely, given his love of the old wagons.
The other night my daughter and I were driving by again and lo and behold, the station wagon was in the parking lot again. With that I pulled in to take a closer look. Image my surprise when I saw the vanity plates.
Isn't it a beaut? Peacekeeper is the only one so far trying to talk me out of buying it. Sell my other cars and I'd be without a car payment. It looks like destiny to me.
