First some immediate info:
1) The main site and forums have seperate accounts at the moment, you must register for the forums if you plan to post there. This is optional. But registering on the main site is not (you need to get on roster!
Main info:
----------------
Greetings. I've met a few of you already in game and in the forums. I'm one of a few TIW Liasons (TIWL) that been assigned to by the BEML admins to help you through the 'Team in Waiting' process, to which you have applied. We are your first stop (after the website) to information on anything you have questions about. As you know, the member teams in the BEML vote on admission into the league. It's my job to try and make that go as smoothly as possible - helping get you setup, reporting your progress to the committee, and correcting any misunderstandings of the rules of conduct etc. I encourage you to contact me in IRC or email with any questions or problems you encounter.
To get you started, here's some info
1) you need to have at least 8 people on your team before completing any TIW scrims. You seem to have enough now, but the more the merrier. join your team on this page:
http://www.beml.org/teams/team_details. ... sterid=222
players join with regular password, captains join with the captains password (Current Captains should have these or you)
2) you need to arrange a minimum of 3 scrims with member teams. Scheduling can be done in the TIW forum or elsewhere ... just remember to post your progress and all the necessary info on the scrim there (a thread per scrim please). List of teams and their contact info:
http://www.beml.org/teams/?&leagueid=8
3) The team you are playing will have a representative make a report to the committee about the scrim. in addition any staff member or team representative can observe the scrims. So it's important to post the server info and password in the forum for all to see.
4) Have all you members demo the scrims. We will request a demo from each map and may also request some others if problems come up or we just want to check to make sure all your members are demoing. Demos are from TIW scrims are made available to the committee. During normal play demos are the ultimate source for solving issues that may come up in match, so they are important!
5) a few pointers, your conduct and sportsmanship are the factors we are interested in, not how well you play. Do not use the global chat or taunts once the match has begun. Only captains should global once it's started, and then only in extreme circumstances.
6) we use a number of custom maps ... to avoid file mismatch errors, download the files from the links listed here
http://www.beml.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3305
7) review the rules and policies of the BEML
General rules:

icon_cool.gif have fun! The next will be starting in approximately 2 weeks. It will be a rush to get your scrims done if you can in time to make the next season. To do so you will need to get them done this week. Leaving one week for a member vote. It can be done if you are diligent enough this week. Many teams are looking for scrims before the next season starts.
We, =IV= can do one Wednesday night if you'd like
Once again you can reach me in irc in #thebeml or #IndianaVehicles almost all the time. You can also email me directly at
