Not yet, I would like to. I have tried to install the app that lets you reserve the free upgrade. but it doesn't work..

I think you're in the same situation as me, your PC isn't a standard manufactured build.

My laptop was a standard over the counter build; while it was the last to be reserved for Win10, it got updated first.

My gaming PC was the first I reserved, multimedia center second... and both are still on the reserve list.

I haven't yet. I am still on Win7 and will probably ride that out as long as I can... I am pretty disturbed by the overt privacy issues that come built in. I know you can turn most of them off and that everyone else does it. I just think it is telling that microsoft feels comfortable building it in and telling everyone about it. Imagine a company trying that even a few years ago...

They've been doing that with smartphones for years. The locked bootloaders and measures taken by mobile carriers to kill root access on devices is also troubling!

I received my notification to upgrade today and installed it, it's been good on my laptop and lightning fast on my gaming pc. But during the install process I turned off everything that raised concerns and I killed cortana. I have no need for that assistant on my PC and I don't use one on my mobile.

My biggest concern was with WIFI sense, that menu option (from a network and identity security viewpoint) makes no sense! In my opinion; it's a huge hole for exploitation, it's inclusion in the OS raises eyebrows!

I just upgraded and it was really smooth. I was using Win7 which I was happy with but wanted to check out the Cortana feature and hopefully take advantage of DX12!!!

There are some bugs for sure though...nothing that's a major pain. It's slick, fast and if you're used to Win8.1 at all you will have no issues IMO. However if you have never used Win8.1 it take some getting used too.

I use Win8.1 on my work Surface so although I hate 8.1, Win10 is a good balance.

It is fast, lol I'm just a worry wart!

I started to update our media pc to win10 but I'm thinking of going full linux, the HTPC software called KODI looks awesome!

Whoa, full Linux!?!?! You gotta let me know how that goes. I had a tough time with Linux when I tried it.
