i'm working on some basic skins... its tough though because each team is a different armor... and each team has a choice between male/female light, male/female medium, or heavy.... thats 5 skins per team * 3 teams = 15 skins per complete set.......


and don't forget that now skins have bump maps, opacity maps and iluminosity maps , which complicates maters further. The good old days of slapping together a good set have long past

Not to mention that on some maps, there are 2 skin types availible for certain armors on each team.

Perhaps though, for a new look on the skins, instead of using the pit bull image from 'Red Dog' beer, maybe we could use the one Artemis came up with:

i'm 2 steps ahead of you sirrius.... actually that second choice of skin doesn't complicate matters... when you install a map pack, you will have more choices in the inv screen... Yep, you are no longer limited to one skin at a time

Kraska, speaking of skins, wasn't it you a while back that sported a "naked skin" for T2? If so, can you point us to it....it has become one of the parts of a friendly college football game wager, hehehe. Thanks!

Now...the ut engine allows for custom models too...did they remove that from T:V?

I'd suppose that might've been necessary, but you'd think they'd allow head or maybe jet modifications...Is it possible to have custom heads?

/me reminisces about the quake 3 engine letting you mix heads and bodies from other characters...

.. striker, i'm pretty sure they disabled that. Although i do know that jets are seperate models from the body, so it MIGHT be possible to re-enable it somehow. Gotta wait for the source to be released before i can toy with it though

There isn't a way to force the models. So that every map played is played with phoenix and bloodeagle or bloodeagle and imperial or etc...? Cause that would make a whole lot more sense that requiring every teams skinner to make 15 skins for their team to cover all bases. Also that red dog beer logo is cool.
