I was doing a search for rosters of the teams I've been a part of, and Phantom Guard was mentioned at some point on this board, bringing my attention to it. So I figured I'd stop by and say hello.

How've you been? Looks like the clan is doing well.

I'm making a list of people I've met (those I got to know) throughout my time with online gaming clans. It's partially for my journal in English class (finally decided to go back to school) and partially for my site. If any of you would like to mention people you remember as being from Phantom Guard or Team Phantom, it may help spark my memory. Any such input would certainly be appreciated.

Anyway, it's been a long time. I hope things are going well for you all.

Wowzer. I just logged into ICQ for the first time in maybe 8 months and saw your name and was wondering how you were doing. I have to say it is great to have you visit us and say "howdy."

For those who don't know, Guardfather was my first tribe leader. He was nice enough to let an old lady play for him in T1....we won't mention how many years ago. And because Gig and I came as a set, we were both let in. I have very fond memories of Phantom Guard. But, Guardfather had to be offline for awhile, and during his absence things didn't run as well. So Chiefscott and Top40 started discussing with Madawg the creation of a new tribe of older players. Well, the rest is history.

Congrats on going back to school. I'm glad things are going well for you. Come play with us, we'd love to have you join in on a few games. If ever you want to chat, I'll send you teamspeak info. We have a great group of folks, some going back as much as 7 years with the team. I'd love to hear more about what's going on with you.

It's funny that I forgot Top40 was with you, because I did think of him when writing out my list of notable clanmates, but didn't associate him with RD right away. I think Top40 was probably the one out of you who I spoke with the least. If I recall correctly, his name was derived from a CLQ rating ( www.theclq.com ) achievement.

I'd like to join you for some games, but I haven't had T2 installed for a long time now, and never got T:V. When I tried reinstalling T2, I believe I was greeted with an error of some sort. (big surprise there... lol) If my video card were better than a Ti4400, I'd get BF2. Maybe I'll give a T2 installation another shot soon. It would be fun to play again, even if I'd be without any trace of former skill. =) Are you still active in T2?

Just found my T2 CD. Ran T2, logged on, and found ONE server. Is this how it is or is it some problem with my version being old?

You probably need to upgrade. You also need to use Defense Turret to log onto the game. I may have to host the file, because I believe the website for it has gone down. I'll double check that.

On top of DT, the patch will be needed (25034?...I forget the number)!

My son Sarxos07 and I played T1 also, we were on a Havoc team called Steel City Snipers, they did move on to T2 and was there alive and competing in base till this last spring.

Thanks to all of you for the info and links. They work fine for me. I'll have to try using them tomorrow, when I'm sober. Went out with some buddies from work tonight and had a few pitchers + an Irish car bomb. I fear any attempt at T2 would result in failure due to my current state. hehe

I'd rather be in your shoes right now than stuck at work on a slow night!!
