Yes friends... its true. Valve/Vivendi just released "Half life 2 :Deathmatch"

and just when I was beginning to think they were gonna suffer greatly due to no multiplayer. I guess they got a clue. I'm sure it will have its bugs and disadvantages, but hey!! Its multiplayer! Trying to get into a server right now is down right impossible almost... Its like a bunch of 13 yr olds on christmas.

Counterstrike: Source is great to play still, provided you can find a server where no one hacks. I still have some skill in that game. :D

I agree... Counterstrike :Source is fun and entertaining and greatly increases your head shot accuracy. So it takes care of the team based aspect of the game. And now we have Half Life 2 :Deathmatch which is awsome! (The Gravity gun is a very powerful weapon in a balls to the wall deathmatch game) And the addition of Team deathmatch allows another team aspect to the chaotic carnage. All in all its an all out war in the servers.... just as you would expect from a half life multiplayer game. I remember the first half life deathmatch games being equally as intense and fast, although they looked nothing compared to what I marvaled at tonight.

I wonder how many people that went out and purchased it from a store rather than Steam are kicking themselves in the arse....? I'm sure it will become available some other way eventually so people that didn't get it through steam can still get the DM.

But until then... I shall be playing me some HL2DM while the others sulk over the fact that they already beat the rather short Single Player campain and can't play the multiplayer.. Muahahaha  8)
