i haven't had any problem grappeling to vehicles... Although there is a graphics glitch with it. Your hook will look like is perminately attached to the point in space where it origionally hit the vehicle. As long as the vehicle doesn't accelerate too fast (causing too much tension on the grappeling hook) you will stay attached with no problem

WElp Here goes, TV is pretty, the graphics are awesome, the chartacters look like a animation is....... no comment, But I feel cramped and a litte tuinnelvisioned, also, I think they have made a good job of killing off tribes, Yup thats a victory for halo 2 that halo didn't have to fight for.

Hampster this game is fun if you play with the right people, kinda like T2. Just wait till a <=RD=>,atf/agent, or [ubp] server pops up you'll find its great fun. Until then try out CkB or one of the 5150 servers, they have a high skill level and are admin'd, plus the people seemed to be helpful with getting players akin to the new style of play.

Yeah and the local taunts are kinda lacking. But the ragdoll deaths are really cool even though they are way too over the top.

'Almighty Hampy' just an FYI, T2 killed the tribes series...T1 will always be the best of all tribes games. Anyhow...your response seems rather trollish and it sounds like you barely gave the game a shot.

I do enjoy T:V...whether I'll enjoy it for as long as I have T2 has yet to be seen. I think it could provide a solid half year's entertainment. The learning curve is a bit disappointing, but that doesn't really concern Irrational since they are only concerned with selling copies initially. They could care less if the game lasted longer than a year. I am actually more psyched about the single player game because that is Irrational's signature. It should be absolutely amazing.

So what do I think? I think everyone should give T:V a fair shot, because it is a rather well-made game (it's only in beta, hopefully we can expect a bit more). I will be picking this up as opposed to Doom 3 because I believe the single player of T:V will be better (so long as Irrational keeps doing what they're doing...Thief anyone?). T:V will hopefully hold me over to Half-Life 2. If not, I guess it's back to T2. Anyway, give it a fair shot. Initially, it is a better game than T2 IMO. As I said before, no Tribes game will ever rival T1...just the way it is. Laters .

I think they made some pretty small concessions to comp players, if you really consider what most of them wanted...

I can't go back to T2, because despite the balance of base it is slow, and in T:V I can be the cowboy that made T1 forever fun...

I look forward to comp in T:V more so than pubbing fun, since I can rape on isle and get most kills, most MAs, and if the cappers suck fastest speed, all the while not making a dent in my teams ability to win... I see a problem there, and only team play can solve it.
