You said that actions speak louder than words, and rightuflly so. However, the only actions I can think of is not doing anything wrong and acting very mature. What good can i do?

Joining a respected tribe and following all the rules is a start. Depending on how damaged the rep is this may be very hard to do. As you know, some won't even consider.

Sneaky Snake is suffering the backlash of many instances of cheating. TWL & BEML have banned him. I have given him some advice in the hopes that he uses it for good, not evil.

My advice is that this is going to take a very long time to redeem yourself. This isn't going to happen over night. You will have to stay the course and prove that you are serious about making it up to the community. You will have to withstand more criticism and abuse. People are mad at you. You will need to remember that it is for good reason. You have been caught cheating not that long ago. So your apology is going to be laughed at.

If you are serious about changing yourself, you will need to give everyone an opportunity to see you trying to do the right thing. You will have to allow them to not believe it. Trust is a very hard thing to get back once it has been breached. In fact, there will always remain a kernal of doubt that will forever linger. This is part of the dues I told you that will have to be paid in order to believed.

Coming from an old freind, I have to agree with lady. My advice along with everyone elses, is to control your temper. I suggest going into pubs and just simply being nice and playing the game. Show people that you're done with foul play and you've truly changed. Instead of persisting here and at other clans forums, let them watch you. Simply saying you're sorry and insisting you're a better person won't cut it for anyone. I don't think you will ever be fully forgiven, however I do think that eventually you and your clan will be scrim-worthy. And you can't act, you have to truly be a better person than you were before. If you are acting, then you will be found out and you won't get a second chance. You've already gone past "thin ice", you're in the freezing water now and you've got a very long way to go before you're back on shore.

Trumpet Boy (AKA Fires)

P.S. Tip: Dish out some "Nice shot!"s when you get killed. I like it when people say that and I'm sure other people do too.

I agree with you Fires, but you see, not many well-known players are pubbing throughout the days, and in the nights they are usually busy with practices and scrims, so it is difficult to prove myself to guys that are not new to the game.
But thanx for the advvice everyone :D

One 'sneaky' way to jump start such a recovery would be to purchase a new copy of Vengeance (new CD key) and open a seperate account name / profile. You can then begin to build a new reputation under a new name, leaving the past behind you. Later let it be known who you are after the various servers and Tribes have come to respect your game play and attitude.

The only limitation to such a recover would be if your IP is actually banned. Then it simply dosen't matter how many accounts you own...you would be out of luck until your IP changes.

Nice try Moose. TWL tracks his every movement by his IP, which has nothing to do with his CD key or account name. TV is different in that regard. They have very clever ways of identifying him, no matter what smurf name he uses or how many times he changes his IP. They have him pegged as one of the more notorious cheaters in the game.

I believe I heard that he has a website mocking the community, and bragging about his leet hacker abilities. This is the mentality I'm trying to get him to understand has damaged his reputation almost beyond repair.

I am not sure about the website, but i do know he has this demo or movie on google. It is a great example of his cheating. I see a lot of questionable stuff in it like why are the building sort of see through. ALso notice the rapid snap from the gun. What about see the guy iff through the rock. There a few other this in ther i do not lije the looks of. I can speak for the TWL and say that we will not be allowed to play in any competetion on TWL.

It is beyond me how if he went to a neighbors house (new IP) and installed a brand new spanking version of T:V (new CD key, name, profile, and the whole works using a new email account), how it could possibly be tracked. Then again, I work in the hard drive business and only program in a limited fashion for my work. Lots of hackers and coders way more advanced than my feeble skills.

In any event, I shall crawl back into the hole from where I emerged, lol. :-? ;)
