The Beta is only available to those registered on the download site at this time correct? And registration is accompanied by a fee that I am too cheap to pay, correct? But, it should be available to "everyone" for download this Friday, correct?

Umm... how to use health packs? I see people drop them when they die, but I haven't seen a keybind for it.

Other than that, I like it so far, with a few exceptions - no extra weapon slots for heavier armors, and the vehicle setup feels like UT2k4 without the ability to go into first person with them. Gonna take a lot of getting used to, especially with the fighter carrying missiles again.

you can't use helthpacks. they got removed in order to simplify the game. origionally the devs wern't going to put in the health kit at all that gets droped, but TribalWar put up a fuss, so the devs decided to compromise.

it kinda sucks that its not in... but look at it this way. 99% of the time, players never droped health kits because they knew enough to use them. those that dropped them are the people who didn't know about em. This way you are always rewarded for your kills.

ALthough personally i think the kits give a little too much health right now

I thought you just walked right over them in order to use them....But I could be wrong :? Otherwise it probably involves the "F" key...

ringleader is correct just run over them. And as for the heavies three slots are more than enough for HO for HD and HoF I'm not sure. But since the maps seem so small rarely do you have to engage someone before you get to the enemy generator and in the enemy base the Mortar and Burner are sufficient.

There will probably be a vehicle mod with real air/ground vehicles. Anyway I'm over my initial shock and awe of this game and now it has settled down to just plain fun. I am still anxiously waiting for the final release, but beta doesn't rule my life any more.

Especially with the limited maps, they would get repetitive and eventually you'd know your way around a bit too well.

No that's not really it because I feel like I can get sooooo much better I just am sick of not having cap limit. I know its a beta TEST but I would still like to be able to cap a map out. Don't get me wrong it isn't repetitive or boring I have an extreme amount of fun on just these four maps I just wish I could have a sense of accomplishment.

Oh yeah the new official Voice chat spam is shift+c+w, shift+c+c+e, shift+c+c+w or in T2 speak vcw, vcce, vccw! Its the best.

I know it's probably not jsut me, but is anyone else taking seemingly forever to load into the next map? I feel that by the time get into the game, the map os half over.

Map loading does seem to take a while.

My biggest problem has been lock-ups. Either while sitting in a turret or on the inventory. Seems like right when I hit the 'use' key and a sound happens the game hangs - like a broken record on that same sound. Might have to try and update sound drivers (turtle beach santa cruz)

Hmm...I've run into a problem. I can load Emerald, Cavern, and Winterlake, but when the game goes to Isle, I can't seem to join. The screen comes up saying "Press fire for respawn screen" so I do. I click the spawn point I want and nothing happens....

Ive run into a bug where you just stay in the same spot for a while. kept jetting, saw my jets go off but didnt move.

Yes sorta the same as Moosie...lock up on invies and turrets. Hang in there guys I will get better, Infact i did notice that my C screen worked better and the radar had picked up peeps but not consistantly.
OH an i love love love the blaster turret..is that its name?? Holy cow that is awesome!!! <3

I'm in the same boat with you. It seems to be at the very start of a game when I first enter the inventory. I have also been having issues while running teamspeak and TV at the same time. It seems like I get kicked from Teamspeak whenever I'm in TV. Then when I log out of TV my Cablemodem starts doing funky things like disconnecting and reconnecting on it's own volition . . . I thought I was having ISP issues, but a reboot and utilization of my ISP was fine . . . until I jumped into and out of TV again. I have zero idea what TV could have to do with cablemodem function. Maybe it's my network cards. I dunno, just been buggy.
